The bass-midrange driver

Due to its hardness and high natural resonance frequency, our woofer aluminum cone is ideally suited for detailed and extremely low-distortion reproduction. The thickness of the diaphragm is chosen to provide the stability for fierce bass attacks and the necessary lightness for precise mids. The durable surround ensures that the ECP-M5 loses none of its precise reproduction, even at high levels and thus high diaphragm excursions. The compos owe their clean, crisp bass foundation and level capabilities to the mid/woofer's powerful strontium ferrite magnets. Details such as the aluminum die-cast basket with optimized temperature management, the butyl rubber surround, a copper cap on the pole core, a 2-layer copper wire voice coil on temperature-resistant aluminum voice coil former or the durable Connex center spider with woven voice coil lead underline the value of these speakers.

The tweeter

The 25 mm tweeter with fabric dome convinces with its warm sound image and can reproduce even the smallest music details. The diaphragm geometry provides a uniform directional characteristic for excellent sound under a wide variety of installation situations. In addition to the low weight of the diaphragm, surround and voice coil, the conscious decision not to use ferrofluid is primarily responsible for the fact that the tweeter plays so vividly, spatially and without coloration.

The crossover

The crossover components have been defined in intensive test series in the laboratory and in the vehicle to achieve the best possible phasing of the components. The result is authentic-looking voices and instruments, their precise stage imaging with impressive spatial depth. The crossovers are divided into separate housings for the tweeter and woofer branches. This allows easy installation in the original installation location without having to lay new cables across the vehicle.

• Use of high-quality air core coils, MKP capacitors and MOX resistors in the direct signal path
