For those who want to upgrade the sound of their Ford Transit, Transit Custom or Tourneo without making any changes to the vehicle, there is the EM-FDF1 speaker system from EMPHASER Universe. It is acoustically perfectly matched to the vehicles and replaces the original factory system in the simplest way. All components fit perfectly into the respective speaker mounts front doors and are simply connected to the original plugs - that's it!

The woofer

The core element of the speaker set are the woofers with Cambridge surround in "M" design and an aluminum cone - the high sound conductivity and stability of aluminum form the basis for precise music reproduction and excellent dynamics. The thickness of the cone material is chosen to provide the stability for impressive bass attacks, but also the necessary lightness for precise mids.

Thanks to the large magnetic drive with Faraday copper ring and the low overall weight of the vibration unit, the EMPHASER loudspeaker system achieves a high degree of efficiency and thus achieves its convincing performance - even if the EM-FDF1 is only operated with a "normal" radio.

The tweeter

The tweeters with 25 mm fabric dome impress with their brilliance and spatial reproduction and are simply snapped into the original brackets. The diaphragm geometry provides a uniform directional characteristic for excellent sound in the original installation location. In addition to the low weight of the diaphragm, surround and voice coil, the deliberate decision not to use ferrofluid is primarily responsible for the fact that the tweeter plays so vividly, spatially and without coloration.

The crossover

The 12 dB/12 dB/oct. crossover for the woofer ensures an exceptionally harmonious frequency response right into the bass range; a separate subwoofer is therefore no longer absolutely necessary for audiophile hi-fi music enjoyment. In addition, an LCR resonant circuit has been integrated to optimally adapt the system to the vehicle acoustics. The crossovers are located directly on the woofer or as a cable crossover on the tweeter for easy installation.
