EMPHASER EM-FDFX165 – Great sound for many Ford vehicles

The EM-FDFX165 is a high-quality 16.5 cm / 6.5″ 2-way plug-and-play speaker set compatible with numerous Ford vehicles. The front component system is acoustically tuned to the compatible models and, thanks to its vehicle-specific design, allows for a precise fit in the original mounting openings of the vehicle doors. Connection is made via the original vehicle connectors.

The bass-midrange driver

The EM-FDFX165’s low-midrange driver features a high-quality CRYSTALGRAIN compound cone, which delivers natural and detailed sound reproduction thanks to its high rigidity, low resonance, and optimized damping. The powerful 85 mm ferrite magnet, embedded between two precisely milled 5 mm-thick pole plates, efficiently directs the magnetic force to the 25 mm voice coil, ensuring a dynamic, controlled sound.

The 6 dB/oct. crossover of the bass-midrange speaker, equipped with a high-quality air-core coil, ensures an optimally tuned sound so that no valuable musical detail is lost. The compact cable crossover with its vehicle-specific connections offers a high degree of installation convenience and enables different connection variants - so that the system can be connected passively to the radio or actively via separate amplifiers.

The tweeter

The 25 mm fabric dome tweeter delivers impressive detail resolution and natural, warm sound reproduction. To ensure maximum transparency, ferrofluid was deliberately omitted, reducing distortion and making even the finest musical details audible. The 12 dB/oct. cable crossover with 2-stage level adjustment crosses over at 3400 or 3800 Hz and, together with the woofer crossover, ensures optimal sound in compatible Ford models.
